With great reverence and gratitude, the Waterdown community is taking the opportunity to remember and celebrate its 100-year old Memorial Hall, originally built to honour local men enlisted and lost in World War 1. The space has served various community needs, and has long been a special place of activity at the centre and heart of Waterdown Village.
A committee of community partners and Memorial Hall users have planned a weekend of special activities from November 11th to 13th for everyone to celebrate together. Scheduled events include an opening ceremony and movie screening on Friday evening; an afternoon of musical entertainment and evening of trivia on Saturday; and a community Rotary brunch on Sunday morning. Fun and informative displays showcasing the history and stakeholders of Memorial Hall will run all weekend in the lower level of the hall.
Join us to celebrate!
