Life as a Special Duties Bomber Pilot @ Grace Anglican Church - Noble Hall | Hamilton | Ontario | Canada

Chris comes from an aviation family, where both his father and brother were airline pilots. He completed a training program with BOAC where he stayed for a number of years practising in business systems analysis. On leaving the airline industry he subsequently worked in IT and Management Consulting. Following his retirement, he volunteers as a Tour Guide at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.

Chris will tell the story from training to operations of a Halifax heavy bomber pilot whose role was to drop supplies and spies. Flying out of RAF Brindisi (Italy) alone at night to the resistance fighters of the Balkans and Poland during the spring and summer of 1944.

This will be held as a hybrid meeting. Join the Zoom meeting through this link. No pre-registration is required.

Doors will open at 6:30PM, Chris will begin his presentation at 7:00PM. At each of our meetings there is a brief period allotted to the business of the Society, followed by a speaker, or presentation on some aspect of local history or heritage. Afterward there are refreshments and conversation which play an important part in keeping alive the Community spirit. We hope to see you there!
