This Heritage Paper is courtesy of Mr. Eric G. Willis of Waterdown, who during the last two years has researched Waterdown and area residents who served in the Armed Services 1940-1945, and were resident of the area at the time of enlistment.

Mr. Willis found that the tablet for the Second World War which carries the Royal Canadian Legion Emblem and which was unveiled in 1969 has several errors and omissions.

Through his work with many Waterdown and area residents and The Flamborough Review, Grace Anglican Church, Knox Presbyterian Church, St. James United Church, St. Thomas Catholic Church, The Commonwealth War Graves Commission and The National Archives of Canada, he has compiled the following list.
