Originally published in 1998 this book was a project to mark the Bicentennial of the creation of East Flamborough Township, and the 25th Anniversary of The Waterdown-East Flamborough Heritage Society. The book is a celebration of the creation of the township and a visible record of what the first settlers had achieved. The collection of rural pre-Confederation buildings in the Township of East Flamborough is among the finest in the province. Recognition of this heritage is the theme of the book and around it have been woven the stories of the families, businessmen, entrepreneurs and religious leaders who created this inheritance. Divided into sections on Aldershot, Waterdown, Carlisle and Mounstberg, each building is captured in beautiful black and white photographs and the history of the land and the families who lived there is told in detail.
