Labour, Unions and Hamilton @ Online - Zoom meeting

The Flamborough Heritage Society will feature a presentation on Labour, Unions and Hamilton by Bill Freeman.

A presentation by Bill last year was so popular that he is back for ‘Part 2’ – he ran out of time before he could finish his presentation. Bill is an award-winning historian, author and screen writer. He first began writing a series of books for youth while living in Hamilton., Each book focuses on a different industry setting in the 1870s. He then went on to writing books for adults, working in the film industry and writing two plays.

For this session, Bill will go into depth about the steel industry, the conflict between management and the workers’ union and how it changed the history of the trade union movement.

Join the meeting through this link. No pre-registration is required.

The meeting begins at 8:00 PM but the waiting room is open from 7:45 PM.
