We are happy to start off the year with historian David Raymont. David is the president of the York Pioneer & Historical Society. He will be doing a reading from this Societies newest book “Dare to do what is Right: Sir William Howland Remembers the Birth of Canada and Life in the 1860’s.” This book was co-written with Heritage York and was published in 2017 to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.
Howland also built Howland Flour Mills, the largest mills built in Smokey Hollow, on Grindstone Creek in Waterdown.
All are welcome – free admission – doors open at 7:30 PM
Light refreshments served after the meeting.
